《實構築》季刊成立於 2019 年，於 3 月發行創刊號！ 《實構築》季刊創辦的宗旨有二： 其一，持續推廣「實構築」建築理念；其二，打造一個台灣的國際建築平台。

「實構築展覽」創辦於 2009 年，迄今已成為台灣規模最大且最具代表性的建築展覽，每兩年於台灣不同城市舉辦展覽。「實構築展覽」追求使用與構築的真實性，以及積極與環境融合，意在提倡對於建築本源的創造性回歸，探索真實的詩意表達，藉此抵抗消費主義的侵蝕，導引建築價值觀，以建構出更理想的安居場所。「實構築」強調合作的重要性，體認到真實乃是一項社會協議，是業主、設計者、營造者和使用者之間的共識形成過程，所有真實構築的產出，都是多方協同合作才能完成。因此，實構築亦是一個不斷持續進行的社會協作過程。

台灣身處國際十字路口，其在每個歷史時刻皆為多元融合的建築發展，反映了這個獨特的地理位置。如何以更主動的方式，在變動不居的國際洪流不停湧入中，掌握發展的主體性，一直是台灣建築的重要課題。《實構築》季刊因此定位自己，不僅是以實構築建構台灣建築主體性的所在，同時也是促進國際交流合作的平台。透過《實構築》，國外建築界將可望⾒台灣建築的獨特性，台灣建築也因此擁有走向國際的一道新門戶。

具體來說，實構築季刊期許自己是一本如鏡子般的光滑潔淨、足以將真實如實地反映出來的刊物。由此理念出發，《實構築》創發出自己獨特的編輯風格，以具有穿透力的方式報導和評論作品，以及論述建築。它是季刊，每三個月發行一期，內容中英文並置，且紙本與網路實虛形式並行，讀者可以實體整期閱讀，也可以透過網路介面動態地收看到最新報導，同時也讓國外讀者可以輕易地接觸到。

相遇 《實構築》季刊企劃創刊號主題為「相遇」。

美好的相遇少有來自偶然，更多來自於共同價值的分享，與分享時心意相通的悸動。在建築藉物累成的過程中，主體價值被營造、被照見、被傳達以及被理解；類似的價值也會被集結，被分享以及被傳導。藉由建築來分享價值，可以被人為地創造，但若這分享沒有如實發生，深入人心，價值和建築主體性都將曇花一現，快速地被消費所吞噬。這就是我們執意策畫「相遇」為《實構築》季刊創刊號主題的緣由，它既是個理念的標舉，也是對於自己的警示。

促成相遇的價值雖然相似，卻有著多重的面貌，就如本期作品和文章中所展示的：有台灣建築師在國外的作品，也有國外建築師在台灣的作品；又有各種材料、構造工法和技藝的相遇，從最日常質樸的到運用最新科技的；也有專業建築師和素人建造者的並置，從而拉開了定義建築的寬廣光譜；也有年輕一代和中壯以及資深世代的交鋒和辯證。

我們相信，相遇是探索的開始。

《實構築》季刊社長為李彥良先生，副社長由廖明彬、張晃魁、王增榮先生三位擔任；總編輯為王俊雄先生以及副總編輯為蘇雅玲小姐，他們主導建築作品、評論、文章等專業內容。《實構築》還有一處特別的編輯內容為「綠場所」，由四座金鼎獎得主林美慧小姐主編，善用不同視角看建築，另闢一種綠色氛圍的建築場所。《實構築》集結多方領域且強而有力的編輯團隊，大家齊心推動之下，只為台灣建築界創造一個更完善的發表平台。《實構築》作品皆有中英文介紹，並邀到何以立建築師擔任英文編輯顧問。

《實構築》季刊亦邀請日本建築師妹島和世、芬蘭建築師 Juhani Pallasmaa、新加坡科技大學建築系主任 Erwin Viray以及德國慕尼黑工業大學教授Andres Lepik擔任《實構築》季刊之編輯顧問。妹島建築師為普立茲克建築獎得主，並曾擔任 2010 年威尼斯建築雙年展策展人。Pallasmaa 建築師為著名建築評論家，著作等身，曾任普立茲克建築獎評審。Erwin Viray 教授曾任日本國際建築雜誌 a+u 副主編以及 TOTO Gallery Ma 營運委員多年，為國際著名建築評論家。Andres Lepik教授在慕尼黑工業大學帶領建築史和策展實踐課程，亦為慕尼黑建築博物館館長。他們四人認同《實構築》季刊創辦理念，同意出任編輯顧問，讓《實構築》的國際化，擁有更堅實的基礎和資源。

Mr. Huang-Kuei Chang is the President of Architecture + Tectonics Taiwan with Mr. Ming-Bin Liao, Mr. Yen-Liang Lee, and Mr. Tseng-Yung Wang as Vice Presidents. Mr. Chun-Hsiung Wang is the Chief Editor, with Ms. Ya-Lin Su as Deputy Editor, who are responsible for the professional contents such as architectural projects, critiques, and articles. a+tec has a unique section entitled ‘Green Place’ which is penned by Ms. Mei-Hui Lin, winner of four Golden Tripod Awards. Ms. Lin examines architecture from different perspectives, and sets forth ‘greenness’ as a new kind of architectural place. a+tec gathers a multidisciplinary and potent editorial team. It aims to create a more comprehensive platform for the Taiwanese architecture community to showcase works and ideas. The magazine features introductions to projects in both English and Chinese, and has invited architect Albert Ho as our English editorial consultant.

The magazine also invites Kazuyo Sejima, the Japanese architect, Juhani Pallasmaa, the Finnish architect, Erwin Viray, the Dean of Architecture Department in Singapore University of Technology and Design, and Andres Lepik, the Professor of Technical University of Munich (TUM), to be our editorial consultants. Kazuyo Sejima is a Pritzker Prize winner and has previously served as the curator of 2010 Venice Architecture Biennale. Juhani Pallasmaa is a renowned architectural critic and has authored many books. He has previously served on the jury of the Pritzker Prize. Professor Erwin Viray has been the associate editor of the influential a+u magazine and a member of the management committee of TOTO Gallery Ma. Andres Lepik leads architectural history and curatorial practice at Technical University of Munich (TUM) and is also Director of the Architekturmuseum Der TUM. All of them recognize the important mission of a+tec , and we are honored to have them join us. Their presence will help propel a+tec onto the global stage, giving it a solid foundation and a wealth of resources.
