曾文青年活動中心為宗邁建築師事務所早期作品的經典，展現創業初期的野心與活力。由陳邁先生設計，空間平面組織呈風車型，室內中庭為大型集會空間，由住宿單元環繞四側，兩座樓梯配置於對角，另外兩對角為開口。立面呈現階梯狀，利用上下層交疊的平面關係和四十五度切角，形成陽台的自然採光井與植栽台，量體組合產生由一個三向度模矩交錯重疊「織」在一起的效果。

結構設計由徐文良先生負責，結構系統甚為精巧，確切反映空間組織上之安排。主要採承重牆結構，由雙向共十四片板構成，結構板在立面呈階梯狀，向上逐層內縮，形成住宿單元及階梯狀的陽台，且所有隔間牆均有懸吊作用。（摘自張樞建築師文章，全文詳見《實構築季刊》05期）

Tsengwen Youth Activity Center was one of the early classics by Fei & Cheng Associates. It demonstrated the ambition and vitality of their early practice. Designed by Mai Chen, the interior layout of the youth center resembled a windmill. The interior courtyard was a major gathering space, surrounded by bedroom units. Staircases were placed at two diagonal corners of the courtyard with entrances at the other corners. The main elevation was terraced with a series of set-backs and diagonal splays. This allowed the interweaving of different volumes to create skylights and planters.

The sophisticated structure system is designed by Wen-Liang Xu, in correspondence with spatial arrangement. The load-bearing structure consisted of 14 walls in orthogonal arrangement. The bearing walls were set-backed to create the terraced elevation forming bedroom units and balconies. All partition walls also functioned as suspended structures.
