中國醫藥大學教學行政大樓的南向立面由三米寬的鋼構架與不同穿透性的玻璃結合而成。於此皮層中，理性的集中服務性建築元素，交替使用不同模矩尺寸及二種透明度的玻璃帷幕單元，內斂地創造非理性、帶有混亂感的帷幕立面，以超凡入聖的華麗鷹架意象、自然有機的分割手法，表現一種自在的現代性！
垂直性的建築元素，如樓梯、電梯、空調與給水等管線皆集中於南向立面三米寬的鋼構架內。考慮建築的通風換氣及隔熱效果，鋼構架內留有多處挑空風道，配合二種不同穿透性的玻璃構成空氣隔熱層，產生熱對流的垂直通風；平面配置上鄰接半戶外走廊，藉由水平通風廊道為建築物注入新鮮空氣。輕構築的施工過程宛如鷹架般的纖細，卻也細緻的表現不同以往的帷幕牆構築原則，此有厚度的構架系統集隔熱、循環、維修、動線、管線系統於一身，是一非常有效的節能設計！
中國醫藥大學水湳校區分多期開發，第一期包括教學行政大樓（本案）、教學研究大樓與宿舍大樓，分別配置於北、東、南側，並圍繞一橢圓廣場。西側有藝術大道，連接並貫穿南北校區。
本案於西側連接藝術大道設置雨遮，強化入口意象。南側面對橢圓廣場，於鋼構架地面層設置多處開口，並於建物內設置挑空兩層之半戶外大廳，讓校內師生能自由地自廣場穿越教學行政大樓，進入未來北側之校區；從廣場可隱約看到穿梭鋼構架內上下樓的老師與學生。
The southern facade of the building is composed of a three-meter wide metal frame that is infilled with glass panels of two opacities. Within this “skin”, all building services are centrally arranged in a logical order. The alternating grid dimensions and the seemingly random glass panels create a facade that look irrational and chaotic. Nevertheless, it is deliberately designed with a rational process. The facade appeared as a grandiose display of scaffolding and the organic composition reflects the desire for spontaneity that is representative in contemporary architecture.
Within the three-meter wide metal structure at the south facade, vertical service elements such as stairs, elevators, air-conditioning and water pipes are centrally located. Void spaces extending from the ground level to the roof increase efficiency of ventilation and insulation. The three-meter wide space and its glass envelope essentially shield the building from heat and expels hot air vertically. The semi-outdoor corridor serves as a horizontal channel that brings fresh air into the building. Scaffolding-like Infrastructure system as effective ventilation volume.
Phase one campus development is located on the southeast of the campus, consisting of three buildings arranged around an elliptical plaza. The Educational Administrative Building (this project), the Educational Research Building, and Student’s Dormitories are located on the north, south and east side respectively. On the west, the Arts Boulevard connects the site through the entire campus along the north-south axis.
The canopy at the west entrance of the Educational Administrative Building not only provides shelter for users to access the Arts Boulevard, but also enhances the building’s visibility. Multiple openings provided on the ground level in the south encourage entrance to the elliptical park. The double-heighted lobby invites students and faculty to access the building as a shortcut connecting from the south to the north plazas. The semi-transparent façade reveals vertical movements of users as students and teachers access the centralized stairs and elevators.
