The site for Nanhua Glimmer is located in Pingtung, Taiwan. Sitting at the foot of Taimu Mountain, the site previously served as an elementary school. The now decommissioned school campus has transformed into the Pingtung AI Agriculture Hub with a new landscape park for the community and the elderly. The landscape park creates a more inviting atmosphere for the locals by opening up the campus boundary and linking the new greenery with the surrounding.

The reinvigorated campus celebrates the natural habitat of the region translating them into geometric forms in the landscape design. The continuous curvature of the concrete retaining walls echoes the patterns of the pineapple fields and the folds of the mountain ridges. The selected variety of plants in the campus offers an opportunity for the public to encounter bio-diversity, comprising of edible plants on the green hills and the restoration of aquatic plants in the eco pond.

The elements of mist and glimmer resemble the collective memory of the region – at nights, the mountain mist flows along the ridges, creating radiances around the street lights afar. The natural mountain mist runs through the mahogany forest and pineapple fields. The recreated misty scene brings up the visual memories of gazing afar towards the mountain covered in mist and clouds.

南華微光原為屏東大武山脈下的一所農村小學，因少子化的影響，五十餘年的校園需被賦予新的生命。重新規劃後，以農業科技、熱帶植物與自然景觀等元素的置入翻轉場域，打開封閉的校園邊界，並應用植物建立鄰里連結，讓居民重新進入園區感受在地風土，不僅將校園轉型成為服務社區與高齡者的地景公園，也成為屏東地區農業數位科技化的教育創新與創業基地。

重生的園區景觀以當地常見的環境脈絡轉化成為幾何地景：連續漸變的混凝土擋土牆，順應著鳳梨田的阡陌紋理，翻摺出（大武）山脈陵線的想像；綠色草坡上種滿可食地景，草坡下的生態水池，復育了豐富的水生植物，成為民眾生態教育的場所。

水霧與微光訴說的是在地獨有的集體記憶：夜間的霧氣山嵐順著稜線上的光暈蔓延草坡而下，充溢桃花心木林，並浸潤滋養了鳳梨田。迷幻場景彷若遙望基地遠方，層疊於雲霧中的山水印象。
