位在4F有1500席觀眾席的大劇院,為三個劇場中最大的表演空間。不同於傳統鞋盒型劇場，大劇院的形狀些微不對稱。舞臺層、主觀眾席和樓座區可被構想成一整片折疊的平面，延伸至觀眾席後方的戶外空間，這空間為大劇院的前廳區。透過水平大面積玻璃開窗，前廳可引入自然採光至觀眾席，提供使用者更多空間效果設定的可能性。中場休息時，觀眾可走到戶外，欣賞遠方台北夜景。主空間的材料有如被浸入油漆桶般，全部由Pantone 646C的淡藍色來統一。室內藍色壁體上不規則的形狀、覆蓋了粗顆粒的吸音噴塗材料和光滑的反音塗料、舞台前區可調整高度和角度的反音板、觀眾席上方技術網架區可調整開合角度的吸音板、可展開的吸音幕、以及條狀座椅設計的特殊穿孔布料材質，創造最佳的室內聲學環境。

Floating on 4F is the 1500-seat Globe Playhouse – the largest theater of the performing arts center. Different than typical shoebox theaters, the Grand Theater is asymmetrical. The stage, the main auditorium, and the balcony can be seen as a singular, folded plane, which extends to the semiopen foyer space located behind the main auditorium. The back wall of the auditorium has a big glass window to bring light into the interior. This offers more possibilities for different spatial settings. During intermissions, the audience can go to the semi-open space to enjoy the night view of Taipei. The interior space is unified by the Pantone 646C light blue color. The best acoustic environment is achieved through the blue interior walls that are irregular in shape, the sound absorbent and sound reflective furnishes, the adjustable reflectors at the forestage, the acoustic panels in the technical grid, the acoustic curtain, and the perforated fabric of the seats in the auditorium.
